There are six primate species with 1,400 monkeys living within the suburban town and it is interspersed with remnant forest patches and scattered trees from the original forest type that is considered part of a global biodiversity hotspot.

As a volunteer will get involved in many aspects of the trust work by lending a hand to the staff as they carry out their daily tasks.
Group conservation activities are carried out as a team effort.

If you like to get a deeper understanding of environmental concerns and actions in developing world context, come and join us we need skills ranging from primatologist to graphic designers to carpenters.
Trust requires many different types of talents and skills from language, educational skills, photography, marketing and publicity as well as research, primatology, veterinary, and other typical academic training.
Volunteer Activities;

Eco-volunteer
If you have only a short time for volunteering holiday, join the trust for as long as you can, there are no specific requirements apart from your energy and they will participate in the Trust activities!
Volunteer Activities:
- Searching local forests for snares and removing them
- Planting trees in sacred Kaya forest
- Maintaining and hanging Colobridges
- Performing the annual census
- Trimming tree branches back from power lines to prevent primate electrocution
- Helping with education workshop
Both Colobologists and eco-volunteers get involved in our primate rescue and rehabilitation cases, The level of involvement depends on experience, ability, and interest primate rescue and rehabilitation can include anything from taking care of infants to cleaning wounds of injured monkeys to releasing healing animals
We support individuals by; providing placements, assisting with information and travel or other insurance products, hosting pre-departure preparation, supporting individuals and families whilst overseas with us and on their return.
