Tom Ngigi
Co- founder and Programme Director
He was born in Nakuru County, and attended Egerton University. Is the co- founder of Youth Organization For International Volunteers-Kenya a nonprofit international volunteer organization, and as its program director, Tom Leads our work with a special focus on ensuring that all volunteer and Internship program operate in a sustainable, safe and meaningful manner, to create positive social impacts. He has over 10 years experience working with large companies on their sustainability programs and has traveled extensively throughout Africa making frequent trips to various community-based organization. He has worked with Kenya Youth Against Gender Violence Programme as human right activist in formulation of policies for protecting the rights of Women and Vulnerable children and been a consultant for numerous international volunteering organizations in Kenya and as an expert in his field, Tom has been invited to speak at the U.N. on Non-Governmental Organizations and gender issues
Peter Kamau Kariuki
Founder and Co-director for placement
Founder and Co-director for placement and International Partnership. Having studied high diploma in community development and social work. Peter worked extensively around the area of community welfare, women empowerment, community poverty, eradication HIV AID, child right and protection and Gender based violence. He has been involved in NGO and charitable project across the country. With clear vision of eradicating poverty through community mobilization and volunteering together with other local groups .They saw the power of volunteering and the impact it can have to change the society that they solve. He leads daily to change operation of the organization. His positive volunteers experience led him to believe other like minded organization, people will join him in elevating poverty World wide through volunteering.
Eva Nduta Mwaura
social worker and volunteer Welfare Co-Ordinator
She has a background in child psychology and community development and social work. She works as social worker and also as a volunteer Welfare Co-Ordinator which includes; transport, host families, local project and airport pickups. Eva is loving lady who is dedicated to serve community and volunteers with passion, kindness and love. She is always ready to learn new culture and share the Kenyan culture to volunteers.
Poline Wawira Nyaga
program manager in eco-tourism department
She was born in Embu County, and attended Thika School of Medical and Health Sciences where she studied applied sciences-Biology. She is the program manager in eco-tourism department for Youth Organization For International Volunteer. She got interest in environmental conservation where she likes researching on new the available plant and animal species. She organizes, the programs which guides the volunteers on how they should work in the available areas of eco-tourism placements.
