Kitengela Boys secondary school serves a majority of Maasai children from Kajiado County.
It has a total population of 250 students that comprise Muslim children who integrate so well with Christian children. Some Muslim children learn Christian Religious education which is examinable subject by the Kenya National Examination Council and they pass so highly.
Functions of volunteers in the secondary school
- Counseling of the students
- Involvement in field activities g. football (ball games)
- Leading in fellowship services
- Working with students in reading or helping with assignments
- Act as a classroom helper
- Mentor or tutor the students
- organize or assist with a specific club or interest
- Work as a library assistant
- Help or participate during career day
- Supervise during exams day or experiments at science laboratories
- Help out with visual technical courses g. home science
- Help in school administration to prepare a proposal
- Assist in computer
